January Board Meeting

The January Board meeting will be held Wednesday, January 9 at 4:00 p.m. at Abbey Title Company.

February Board Meeting

Wednesday, February 6, 2008 | 8:00am

Monthly board meeting at Abbey Title Company. All members are invited to attend our board meetings.

Mr. David Duncan with the Coaching Group will present a program to address 5 Planned Giving Triggers that Charities should know when promoting planned giving concepts to prospects. "As gift and estate design professionals, we have a valuable service to offer the friends and partners of our organizations. Knowing who can benefit and why is important to serving those generous supporters--and to our own career success. Our program will discuss practical ways to know when and how we can best help our donors and prospects with gift and estate design and further our own career objectives." The program will be held at 4:00 p.m. at the Missouri Southern Criminal Justice Building which is located across Newman Rd from the main parking lots.

The Planned Giving Council of the Four States is once again teaming up with the Southwest Missouri Estate Planning Council to bring to the public an estate planning tab to be published in the Sunday, May 25, 2008 edition of The Joplin Globe. The tab will feature articles written by local professional estate planners that the general public can use to help them with their estate planning needs.

June Board Meeting

The board will make the final arrangements for the June 12, 2008 program titled “Preserving Lifestyle and Legacy: The Basics of Planned Giving”. The program will be held Thursday, June 12th from 11:30-1:00 in the basement auditorium of Empire District Electric Company, located at 602 Joplin Street in Joplin.

The Planned Giving Council of the Four States and the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce Non-Profit Alliance are pleased to present “Preserving Lifestyle and Legacy: The Basics of Planned Giving”. The program will be held Thursday, June 12th from 11:30-1:00 in the basement auditorium of Empire District Electric Company, located at 602 Joplin Street in Joplin.
